It's been good to see ABC News publishing a [series](https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-05-20/energy-retailers-exploit-legal-loophole/103856952?ref=billhero.com.au) [of](https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-04-20/aer-admits-to-serious-concerns-over-time-of-use-power-tariffs/103737008?ref=billhero.com.au) [articles](https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-04-18/ex-energy-watchdog-attacks-time-of-use-power-prices/103700324?ref=billhero.com.au) about how the authorities are bungling electricity tariff reform in Australia by pushing energy consumers onto so-called 'cost-reflective' tariffs but failing to explain the context for this and failing to educate energy consumers on how to manage these new billing practices they are now being exposed to.

Bill Hero was pleased to contribute to today's news story about the fast-accelerating deployment of Demand Tariffs onto unprepared energy consumers.

But this story missed the main point we wanted to make, which is that the official government comparison sites Energy Made Easy and Victoria Energy Compare cannot calculate a Demand Tariff bill comparison for energy consumers.

As the transition to cost-reflective tariffs accelerates, energy consumers cannot get the help they need from any of the official channels.

Bill Hero is still the only comparison service in Australia that can calculate a Demand Tariff bill comparison for energy consumers.
