Do I have to pay for the fibre upgrade in Sydney 2000?▾

The fibre installation itself is free. You may pay your existing retailer's plan-change costs, and some premises require additional in-home work which can incur charges (your retailer will tell you upfront). The 100/20+ plan itself replaces your current plan — you're not paying extra per month for the upgrade.

Why do I have to choose a participating retailer?▾

NBN Co only triggers the upgrade install when a participating retailer places the order. Plans from non-participating retailers (e.g. some smaller resellers, or 5G Home Internet from carriers) don't qualify even at the same speed tier. The list is published by NBN Co.

What if my current retailer is not participating?▾

You can't claim the free upgrade through a non-participating retailer. You either switch retailers (Bill Hero helps with this — see our Switch button on each plan) or stay on your current technology.
