7-Eleven Fuel Price Lock
The My 7-Eleven app's Fuel Price Lock is unique — instead of a fixed cents-off discount, it lets you lock in the cheapest local price and use it for up to 7 days.
How it works
1. Open the My 7-Eleven app 2. Browse fuel prices at 7-Eleven stations in your area 3. Find the cheapest price and tap "Lock" 4. Your lock is valid for 7 days and up to 150 litres 5. Fill up at any 7-Eleven — the locked price is applied at the pump
When it works best
- Lock at the bottom of the fuel cycle (typically Tuesday/Wednesday in most capital cities)
- Fill at the top of the cycle when pump prices are $2.20+ — your locked price could be $1.70
- The maximum saving is capped at 25c/L — but that's $12.50 on a 50L tank
Velocity Frequent Flyer Points
Using the My 7-Eleven app also earns Velocity Points:
- 2 points per litre on premium fuels
- 1 point per litre on regular fuels
- 2 points per $1 spent instore
Tips
- Price lock BEFORE the price cycle spikes (watch for the weekly uplift)
- You can't re-lock a lower price while an active lock exists
- If the app shows a price lower than your lock, you can cancel and re-lock
- Works at all 7-Eleven and Mobil-branded stations
